The latest Irish Times /TNS mrbi poll, carried out this week (Tuesday 12th May to Thursday 14th May), gave Patricia 8% of first preference votes less than a week after she announced she would be running in the European elections.

Patricia McKenna is number five, after the four seating MEPs. She knows that there is a big battle ahead, as the Dublin constituency is changing from a four seat constituency to only three seats. Patricia, however, is very positive, because she has only just entered the race. The Irish Independent reports that, although the third candidate is at 14%, they may not have enough transfers to safely secure their position. Therefore, Patricia is in with a fighting chance.
